Lady Falcons finish fourth in Class 5A race

Flowery Branch High senior Erika Plummer ran a time of 19 minutes, 36 seconds to earn third place overall in the Class 5A state championship girls race Friday in Carrollton. The Lady Falcons took fourth place overall, behind state champion McIntosh, Woodland-Cartersville and Starr’s Mill, respectively.

Also for the Lady Falcons, Shannon Hoolahan finished 15th overall (20:26).

The Flowery Branch boys claimed sixth place, led by Collin Kilgore, who was sixth overall (17:00).

The remainder of the all-classification state championship meet is Saturday in Carrollton.
