Hogan holds 1-stroke lead after Day 1 of City Championship

The Gainesville City Championship wrapped up its first 18 holes on Friday with Ryan Hogan’s 73 leading the way.

The event, which will total 54 holes over three days, is hosted at Chattahoochee Golf Course with 36 holes to be played today and Sunday.

Lawson King and former City champion Morgan Nix each sit one stroke off the lead, carding a 2-over 74.

Jason Foote, Jason Chester and Ricky Brown are tied for fourth two strokes off Hogan’s lead with 75s.

Nathan Williams (76), Will Peeples (76), Hunter Young (77) and Jackson Bishop (77) round out the top 10.

Round 2 tees off at 11 a.m. today.
