Buford native Jared Coleman, 21, was among the graduates of the eight-week Performance Instruction & Training (PIT) program in Mooresville, N.C. this past Tuesday.

The program is a skills training course for students interested in a career on a motorsports team pit crew.

Coleman, a 2006 graduate of North Gwinnett High School, will now be offered the opportunity to continue working toward a career in motorsports by joining PIT’s 5 Off 5 On Race Team Performance program.

“Pursuing a career in motorsports is always something that has always appealed to me, “ Coleman said. “I’ve always clicked with it.”
