Brenau University’s Ashley Hagans was named the Southern States Athletic Conference’s Player of the Week, the first player to earn the honor in program history. Hagans averaged 24 points, went 10-for-18 from the 3-point line, grabbed 17 rebounds, recorded nine assists and eight steals in three wins last week.

Hagans, a senior, who was an Honorable Mention All-American last year, was also selected by the coaching staff at Brenau as Golden Tiger of the Week for the same time period.

Brenau (10-4, 3-2 SSAC) plays host to Berry College at 6 p.m. Thursday in Gainesville.
