Brenau junior Dolapo Obahor scored her first two goals of the year as the Golden Tigers won their third game of the season with a 2-0 shutout over Truett McConnell on Thursday in Cleveland.

Obahor scored her first goal off a corner kick by Lily Futrell midway through the first half as Brenau shut down the Lady Bears offense allowing no shots on goal during the game.

Obahor came up with her second goal unassisted in the second half.

Truett-McConnell coach David McDowell said, “Despite the loss, I thought the ladies played a very disciplined game. Our team stuck to the gameplan very well and if they can continue to execute like tonight, they will win a lot of games before the season comes to a close.”

The Lady Bears visit South Georgia College at 1 p.m. Sunday in Douglas.

Brenau (3-2-1) plays host to Columbia, S.C. in their Southern States Athletic Conference opener at 3 p.m. today at the Allen Creek Soccer Complex in Gainesville.
