The Brenau University softball team defeated Faulkner University 2-1 and 10-1 on Saturday in Montgomery, Ala., Freshman Anna Maness pitched a complete game with three strikeouts for the Golden Tigers (9-1, 4-0 SSAC) in Game 1.

Sarah Applegarth connected on a solo home run for Brenau in the first game.

In Game 2, Lana Lazar and Tiffany Schandera each had two hits for Brenau as part of an 11 hit effort for the team.
Morgan Smith drove in three runs for the Golden Tigers.
