The Atlanta Falcons signed second round (37th overall) draft pick, linebacker Curtis Lofton Friday to a four-year contract. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Lofton, 6-foot-0, 248 pounds, logged 197 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, three interceptions and one sack in three seasons at the University of Oklahoma. His 157 tackles in 2007 tied for the seventh-best season total in school history and were the most by a Sooner since 1979. Lofton also earned first-team All-America honors from The NFL Draft Report, Football Writers Association of America, Sports Illustrated and The Sporting News last year. The Falcons have now signed 10 of 11 draft picks prior to the start of the team’s training camp Saturday. Offensive tackle Sam Baker remains the only 2008 selection by Atlanta to be unsigned.
