ATLANTA — Atlanta Falcons reserve safety Daren Stone has been arrested on a drunken-driving charge.

Police said the second-year player was taken into custody early Sunday morning. No other information about the traffic stop was immediately available.

Stone, 22, appeared in 12 games for the Falcons last year and was credited with nine solo tackles. He was released from the Atlanta City Jail late Sunday afternoon on bonds totaling almost $1,600. He was a sixth round draft pick in 2007 out of the University of Maine.

Falcons spokesman Reggie Roberts declined comment to The Associated Press on Monday.
