ATLANTA — For the second time in seven days, the Atlanta Falcons are cutting loose a recent draft pick.
The Falcons released center Doug Datish, a sixth-round pick in 2007 who never played with the team, on Monday.
Datish (6-4, 305) missed the 2007 season after suffering a broken wrist in the preseason.
Datish, from Ohio State, is the second recent draft pick to be released within a week. The Falcons released 2006 second-round pick Jimmy Williams, a defensive back, on Tuesday.
