FLOWERY BRANCH — The Atlanta Falcons claimed defensive tackle Jason Jefferson off waivers from Buffalo and released defensive tackle Tim Anderson on Sunday.

Jefferson had 26 tackles in 20 games with Buffalo the last three years. He was signed by Buffalo as a free agent on Oct. 12, 2005.

The Falcons also signed tight end Keith Zinger, a seventh-round draft pick, and five more players to their practice squad: wide receiver Eric Weems, offensive lineman D'Anthony Batiste, defensive backs Glenn Sharpe and Eric Brock and defensive end Brandon Miller.

The practice squad also includes wide receiver Noriaki Kinoshita, who serves as the international member of the unit.
