ATLANTA — The Atlanta Braves placed Brandon Beachy on the 15-day disabled list on Sunday with a sore right elbow, creating an opening in the rotation that will be filled by Jair Jurrjens. The team recalled Todd Redmond from Triple-A Gwinnett to pitch out of the bullpen. Beachy, who leads the major leagues with his 2.00 ERA, will have a MRI on Monday.
