North Forsyth tops Dawson, 35-28

North Forsyth defeated Dawson County 35-28 on Friday in Dawsonville.

Chris Sayler set a school record with two kick returns for touchdowns (91 and 99 yards) for the Tigers (2-1, 1-0 Region 7-AAA). 

Dawson County quarterback Tyler Dominy hit Mitch Putnam for a 30-yard touchdown, along with a touchdown catch by Zach Martin in the second quarter.

Trailing 28-14 with four minutes left to play, the Raiders converted on a long third down and scored, recovered an onside kick and scored the tieing touchdown. Tied 28-28, Dawson County fumbled on its first play with a minute left, then North Forsyth scored the winning touchdown.

Dawson County visits Forsyth Central at 7:30 Friday in Cumming.
