Banks County opened its football season with a big offensive show Friday night, beating East Jackson 46-30 in Homer.
Wes Faulkner led the Leopards with 161 yards rushing, and quarterback Tyler Hubbard recorded 133 yards rushing and three touchdowns.
Noah Trebec had three catches for 85 yards and a touchdown, and Greg Cannon had six catches for 45 yards and a score. Malcolm Mitchell had an interception in the fourth quarter that solidified the win for the Panthers.
Coach Philip Jones feels that it was a good team win for Banks County, who put up 468 yards of total offense.
Banks County travels to Athens Christian next Friday in Athens.
