Continuing work on U.S. 129 as well as Interstate 985 at Exit 16 in Oakwood will close lanes this week.

The closures include:

U.S. 129: The inside shoulder and the inside lane in each direction will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, starting at Ridge Road and continuing to Athens Street for construction of the new curb and gutter.

I-985 at Exit 16 in Oakwood: Work will take place on Ga. 13 and Ga. 53 this week. On Monday, crews will work on Ga. 13/Atlanta Highway paving and will close one lane from Ga. 53 to Old Southern Heritage Drive. Traffic will be flagged through the area.

On Tuesday, crews will work on Ga. 13 paving from Poplar Springs Road to Ga. 53. One lane may be closed and traffic will be flagged through the area. Delays are expected.

On Wednesday and Thursday, crews will be paving on Ga. 53 in the median from Ga. 13 to I-985. One lane may be closed, if needed near Wallis Road.
