The administrative team and three teachers from Tadmore Elementary School dressed like pirates and danced on the roof of the school Wednesday morning to celebrate the school’s success in donating food.

Principal Robin Gower said the school filled more than six 55-gallon barrels with canned food, which is being donated to The Salvation Army to feed needy families at Thanksgiving.

This is the fifth year the Hall County school, located at 3278 Gillsville Highway in Gainesville, has held such a collection.
