A person is being flown to a hospital following a head-on collision on Old Cornelia Highway near the Hall County line, officials said.

One person was trapped and three were injured when a pickup truck collided with a car, Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell said.

The accident occurred at about 5:20 p.m. As of 5:50, firefighters still were working to extract one of the injured passengers.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating. No further information was immediately available.
