Hall County is hoping to start this year buying property needed for the Spout Springs Road widening project. With environmental documents approved by the federal government for the project, officials are now “making a request to the (Georgia) Department of Transportation to move the right of way scheduling to this year,” County Engineer Kevin McInturff said Wednesday. Regardless of how things turn out, buying right of way for the $60 million long-awaited project “will be a multiyear process,” he said.
