Weather conditions are important when flying hot air balloons, and the weather was perfect Thursday morning in Helen for the 44th annual Helen to the Atlantic Hot Air Balloon Race. The event includes balloon displays and local flying events in addition to the race toward the ocean. The winner is the first to cross or get closest to Interstate 95 by sunset on June 2.
