Sheriff: 15 store clerks charged with selling alcohol to minors
Sting operation also found 25 businesses in compliance with law

A sting operation on underage alcohol sales netted 15 people from businesses across Hall County, according to authorities. A joint operation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office and the Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad found 15 businesses “were not in compliance and sold alcohol to an undercover officer that was under the age of 21,” according to a sheriff’s office news release. The 15 people charged were: Byung Chul Kim, 38, of Hoschton; Abdul Ghaffar, 63, of Lawrenceville; MD Saiful Islam, 51, of Lawrenceville; Mohammad Asim-Aslam, 34, of Lawrenceville; Aamir Khan, 21, of Covington; Letitia Guerrero, 22, of Gainesville; Jamal Irshaun Amyn, 24, of Flowery Branch; Zeenat Shah, 28, of Lawrenceville; Mary Sue Hollis, 39, of Lawrenceville; Yogesh Mody, 46, of Gainesville; Anita Khimani, 32, of Lawrenceville; Irfan Ali Syed, 32, of Gainesville; Jennifer Gunn, 34, of Gainesville; Mohammad Kayum, 54, of Norcross; and Jagannath Lairenjam, 44, of Gainesville.
