Resignation leaves city clerk job vacant in Flowery Branch
Interim clerk to be appointed at Thursday's council meeting

Flowery Branch accepted its city clerk’s resignation Jan. 9 and intends to appoint an interim clerk during tonight’s City Council meeting. City Manager Bill Andrew acknowledged Marja Burney’s departure by email Tuesday but provided no further comment. Mayor Mike Miller said the council would appoint a current office clerk, Vickie Short, to fill the position in the interim.
