New preliminary flood plain maps for Hall County will be on public display Wednesday at the Hall County Government Center. The maps replace ones based on outdated studies, some more than 30 years old. “This was a more concentrated study of the Upper Chattahoochee Basin,” which encompasses an area roughly west of Interstate 985, said Charles Turner, a civil engineer with Hall County government.
