Police: Pair wanted for credit card theft suspected in Gainesville car break-ins

Two suspects wanted for credit card theft purchases are suspected in numerous car break-in cases in Gainesville, according to authorities.

Gainesville Police are looking for two people who made large purchases at the GameStop stores in Oakwood and Flowery Branch.

Sgt. Kevin Holbrook said the victim’s vehicle was forcibly entered April 10 at City Park, causing damage to the vehicle.

“During the entering auto, multiple credit cards were taken,” Holbrook said.

The GameStop purchases were made the same day.

Police did not release what was purchased from the store.
