Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Friday night in the 800 block of High Street in Gainesville. At about 9:45 p.m. a man forced his way into a residence, intending to steal from the victim, Jermaine Jackson, according to a Gainesville Police Department incident report. The suspect and victim got into a fight, and the suspect hit Jackson with a pistol.
