One person was killed in a one-vehicle wreck in North Hall County this morning.
The driver of the vehicle was traveling north on U.S. 129/Cleveland Highway when, as the driver rounded a curve, the vehicle traveled off the east shoulder of the road and went down an embankment, according to Georgia State Patrol spokesman Gordy Wright.
The vehicle struck a tree, overturned and caught fire. The driver was trapped and died on the scene, Wright said.
The victim has been taken to the state crime lab for identification, he said.
The accident took place at about 3 a.m. near Old Cleveland Road and Lake Land Road.
