Three people escaped a fire Friday morning, but the mobile home was destroyed. Heavy fire was showing from the 12-foot by 70-foot structure when Hall County firefighters arrived to the home in the 2300 block of Spring Road, which is off McEver Road near Gainesville Exploration Academy. A smoke alarm had alerted the occupants to the fire, and they escaped without injury, according to Hall County Fire Services spokesman Capt. Zachary Brackett.
