A Cleveland man charged with breaking into a Nopone Road home earlier this week has been linked to three more burglaries, Hall County Sheriff’s officials said Friday.

Matthew David Schutrop, 23, is believed to have committed burglaries on Shoal Creek Road, Bethel Road and North Browning Bridge Road, Hall County Sheriff’s Sgt. Kiley Sargent said.

Deputies found more than $6,000 worth of stolen property inside Schutrop’s car after he was arrested Monday on Nopone Road.

Deputies responding to a burglar alarm were pointed to Schutrop’s car by a neighbor who thought it looked suspicious, authorities said. After a brief pursuit, Schutrop was arrested.

Schutrop remains in the Hall County jail, charged with four counts of burglary, as well as obstruction of an officer and possession of a gun by a convicted felon.
