A 60-year-old man was killed Saturday in what authorities described as a machinery accident at his shop in downtown Dawsonville. According to emergency workers, Jack “Red” Young died from injuries suffered in the incident, which occurred about 3 p.m. “It appears he was trapped between a loader of a Bobcat,” said Dawson County Emergency Services Director Billy Thurmond. The death was one of two major incidents over the Memorial Day weekend.
