Through Sunday, shoppers at J.C. Penney Co. at Lakeshore Mall are invited to round up their purchases to the nearest whole dollar amount and donate the difference to Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall County to support quality after-school programs.

"The availability of affordable after-school programs continues to be an important community objective in order to meet the needs of working families," said Chuck Graham, Boys & Girls Clubs’ unit director. "As customers shop for the Christmas season, we hope they will keep our mission in mind by rounding-up their purchases to benefit a local cause."

All funds raised from the campaign will make it possible for more local youth to participate in the Boys & Girls Clubs’ after-school programming, which includes programming targeted toward academic success, good character and citizenship and healthy lifestyles.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall County serve more than 360 members, ages 6 to 18 every day. For more information, call Boys & Girls Clubs of Hall County at 770/532-8102.

Since its inception, the J.C. Penney after-school program has donated more than $80 million to after-school programs in every J.C. Penney community.
