A historic southeast Hall County church is looking to put up a new building, including a sanctuary, but it has to first clear a rezoning hurdle. Cross Plain Missionary Baptist Church off Dixieland Farm and Cross Plains roads is going before the Hall County Board of Commissioners this week seeking to rezone land from light industrial and agricultural-residential to just agricultural-residential so it can move on the project. There are no problems so far on the request, as the Hall County Planning Commission has recommended approval without any conditions and the issue drew no discussion at the county commission’s work session Monday.
