Lake Lanier is having an image crisis. The popular tourist destination, which sees almost 8 million visitors a year, was trending nationally on Twitter after a Friday accident critically injured an 11-year-old boy believed to be related to the entertainer Usher. The incident came less than a month after a boating accident killed Jake Prince, 9, and his brother Griffin Prince, 13, both of Buford, which resulted in a nine-day search for Griffin’s body and significant attention from Atlanta media.
