The Hall County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team is searching an area near Sunrise Cove Marina after reports of a missing man from Sunrise Marina.

The dive team will resume the search at 9 a.m. Thursday morning.

“At this time we are treating this as a missing person,” wrote Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Deputy Nicole Bailes in an email.

The possible victim is a 58-year-old man who last seen on the D dock of Sunrise Marina, Bailes said.

Earlier reports referred to the scene as a possible drowning.

Hall County Fire Services and Marine Rescue responded to the call at 5:16 p.m. and later suspended operations, turning the scene over to the dive team, according to Fire Services spokesman Scott Cagle.
