It’s time for Hall County to update its comprehensive plan to guide and manage growth through 2040, and officials are calling for the public’s input to assess current conditions at a meeting today. Hall County officials have already approved a $150,000 contract for consulting services related to the plan update, which will address issues related to housing, land use, economic development, and cultural and environmental protection. Demographic and other data developed as part of a regional transportation plan adopted by the Gainesville-Hall Metropolitan Planning Organization last year will serve as a foundation for the comprehensive update, officials said.
