A suspect pulled a weapon and demanded cash at midnight Tuesday at a Gainesville Burger King, police said.

According to police daily log, a woman reported the robbery after midnight at the Pearl Nix Parkway Burger King, alleging that a cutting instrument was used.

“At this time, officers discovered that a suspect brandished a weapon and demanded an undisclosed amount of cash,” Gainesville Police Cpl. Jessica Van wrote in an email. “The suspect fled on foot before officers arrived.”

No description of the suspect was given, and the incident remains under investigation.
