Hall County Sheriff’s Office investigators are working to identify who shot a man to death inside a vehicle early Monday morning. Cornelius Gordon, 24, of Gainesville was pronounced dead at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville after being taken to the hospital by friends, according to a statement released by Scott Ware, public information officer for the Sheriff’s Office. Ware said Gordon was shot in the head while sitting in a Toyota Camry just before 2 a.m. Monday at 2241 Barnes Drive, which is off Floyd Road east of Gainesville.
