A Gainesville man has been arrested in the shooting death of his sister Friday night.

Hall County Sheriff’s Office officials charged Bradley Scott Holland, 35, of Gainesville with murder in the death of Stacey Allison.

Deputies responded to a 911 call of a reported shooting at 6 p.m. Friday on 3rd Street in Chicopee Village. They found Allison with a single gunshot wound to the head. She was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center and later pronounced dead.

Lt. Scott Ware said Holland’s mother and his wife called 911 around the same time. Ware said Holland and Allison lived at the Chicopee home.

A handgun believed to have been used in the shooting was recovered.

Holland was arrested and booked in at the Hall County Jail.

The case remains under investigation.
