One person was killed in an a wreck on Thompson Bridge Road in North Hall County Saturday morning, causing the road to be closed for a brief time.

Chief David Kimbrell of the Hall County Fire Department said two people were involved in the accident. One person was trapped in a vehicle with serious injuries.

After being freed from the vehicle, the injured person was flown to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. But while in the air, the patient’s condition worsened and they diverted to Gwinnett Medical Center,” Kimbrell said.

The patient died shortly after arriving to Gwinnett Medical Center, he said.

The identities of those involved have not been released.
