The planned widening of Ga. 347/Lanier Islands Parkway between McEver Road and Lanier Islands resort in South Hall County got a financial boost last month from the Hall County Board of Commissioners. The board voted Jan. 22 to follow through on its commitment to the Georgia Department of Transportation to contribute $500,000 toward buying right of way for the project. The money comes from the county’s special purpose local option sales tax’s road program.
