Crystal Farms Inc. of Chestnut Mountain has been chosen as the third-quarter winner of the AgriTrust of Georgia Quarterly Safety Initiative.

Crystal Farms was established by Loyd Strickland in 1947 and has served egg and feed customers for more than 60 years.

AgriTrust of Georgia has presented Crystal Farms with a check for $2,000 for holding a dust explosion safety meeting during the third quarter of 2016. Crystal Farms is one of several fund members served by AgriTrust of Georgia in Northeast Georgia.

AgriTrust of Georgia is a group self-insured workers compensation fund that provides workers compensation insurance coverage for the agricultural industry in the state of Georgia.
