RadioShack Corp. has opened its newest store at 3885 Mundy Mill Road in the Oakwood Station Shopping Center.
The new location is one of three locations the consumer electronic retailer operates in the Gainesville area and one of 69 company-operated RadioShack stores in Georgia.
Nationwide, RadioShack operates approximately 4,400 company-operated stores, 1,400 dealer outlets and nearly 700 wireless phone kiosks.
The new 2,200-square-foot store features RadioShack’s latest contemporary design offering a customer-friendly layout, enhanced signage and product displays, and enhanced check-out areas.
"We’re constantly adjusting our store locations to best serve the needs of local customers, and in the process we’re continually working to upgrade our store shopping environment to ensure customers enjoy the experience and easily find the best and latest solutions to their consumer electronics needs," said Ed Walker, RadioShack district manager.
"We think the new location and redesign of this store will be a great asset for customers who either work or live around that neighborhood and have come to depend on RadioShack for personalized technology solutions."
Paul Davis Restoration now in new location in Gainesville
Paul Davis Restoration of North Georgia has moved its office location to 1218 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The office was formerly located at 2376 Murphy Blvd.
Jeff Bos, the company owner, said sales growth plus additional employees and the need for improved infrastructure led to the move.
"Considering our expanded services and growth, we couldn’t function effectively within our former space, Bos said. "Also, we are taking the opportunity to expand our warehouse space along with a new office environment and showroom for the restoration business.
Bos and his technicians are certified from the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Certification in water and fire damage.
The firm has been in the Gainesville area for more than 18 years with fire, smoke and water loss mitigation and emergency restoration services.
