Lee joins SBDC’s Advisory Council
The University of Georgia’s Small Business Development Center has appointed Lorra Lee, president of the Economic Development Corporation in Gainesville, to its statewide Advisory Council.

The Advisory Council is made up of individuals from around the state who represent small businesses or who have an interest in the problems faced by small businesses. It provides feedback on programs and services provided to the state’s business community.

The SBDC network is a public service unit of The University of Georgia and a business assistance provider for the U.S. Small Business Administration. Through a network of 17 offices statewide, a wide range of educational opportunities are provided for small-business owners, potential entrepreneurs, and community leadership organizations.

Mountain Valley CEO Greene elected state association chairman
Marc Greene, CEO of Mountain Valley Community Bank in Cleveland, has been elected to the board of directors as Division Nine Chairman of the Community Bankers Association of Georgia.

The announcement was made at the CBA’s 41st annual convention and trade show in September.

The CBA is a nonprofit organization founded in 1969 to serve Georgia’s community banks. Board members are selected from 10 divisions around the state and serve one-year terms.
