Hoag chosen nursing director at Gainesville’s Village Nursing Care
Jeanne M. Hoag of Murrayville has been named director of nursing at Village Nursing Care.

Hoag, who has nearly 25 years of management experience in health care, will manage activities at the agency to assure quality nursing care to all clients.

"Jeanne’s strong background in nursing and management experience will help Village Nursing Care continue to provide excellent care for our clients," VNC administrator Debra Lang said.

Hoag has served in several leadership positions including chief nursing officer, chief clinical officer, chief nurse executive and patient care service vice president at hospitals throughout the country.

In 1985, Hoag was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society for Nursing. She holds a master’s degree in nursing from Arizona State University and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin.

Based in Gainesville, Village Nursing Care, Inc. is a licensed private home care provider in 13 Northeast Georgia counties, and is an entity of ACTS Retirement-Life Communities, which also owns Lanier Village Estates.

Hoag, and her husband, Jerry, have three grown sons.

Mucci chosen Woman of the Year by trade group
Carol Mucci of Buford has been chosen as the inaugural recipient of the Woman of the Year Award by the Atlanta chapter of Women in Insurance & Financial Services.

The award is the highest level of recognition a WIFS-Atlanta member can receive. Criteria for the honor include leadership within the organization and the industry.

Mucci was chosen by a select committee of her fellow WIFS members, and was presented with the award Sept. 18 at the WIFS-Atlanta EXPLO event.

Mucci is regional sales manager for ExamOne Paramedical Services. She is a founding member of the Atlanta chapter of WIFS and has served the local chapter in many leadership roles, including president.

Women in Insurance & Financial Services is an organization that seeks to support, encourage and advance the success of women in the financial services industry.
