OMG ... did u get that txt?Hopefully not while driving, says a Buford teen.Now his message has gone national.Ben Klecan, a junior at Buford High School, has been named a finalist for the Toyota Teen Driver Video Challenge — a national competition for teen filmmakers aimed at bringing awareness to teen safety behind the wheel. High school students throughout the nation were charged with creating a one- to two-minute film depicting some of the dangers distracted teens face behind the wheel.Klecan’s topic: texting while driving.“You always hear about teenagers crashing while driving and some are your friends, or friends of friends, and it kind of hits a littler closer to home,” said Klecan. “You realize that this could be prevented and that’s why I did this.”Klecan’s short film was chosen from hundreds of submissions.
