A book of 10 lottery tickets was stolen from a Gainesville gas station, police said.

Gainesville Police took the report on Tuesday, Nov. 13, from the RaceTrac on Cornelia Highway.

A representative of the store said the person working on the automated machine placed one of the books on the counter, and the book later went missing.

The report stated it happened sometime between 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, and 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13.

“They notate the ones that go into the machine, so they were (disabled) in the computer system,” Sgt. Kevin Holbrook said.
