Authorities are investigating the death of a man found in a parking lot in Gainesville this morning.

Gainesville police officers responded to a call around 4 a.m. concerning a body found in the parking lot of the BP station on Athens Highway.

Kevin Holbrook, public information officer for the Gainesville Police Department, said the death appears to be from natural causes.
