After getting a pizza, one of two teenaged boys allegedly held a gun against the delivery driver’s chest while the other stood by the man’s car, according to authorities.

The weapon was later determined to be a handgun replica.

The driver arrived in the evening of Tuesday, Dec. 17, to an invalid address on Orchard Way in South Hall and was met by two boys from Buford, ages 14 and 15.

The delivery man handed over the pizza before one of the teenagers pulled out a handgun, said Hall County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Derreck Booth.

The victim pushed the gun away and drove off, and the two boys ran away from the scene.

Authorities were called out around 9 p.m. Tuesday to Lanier Islands Parkway, and deputies began searching the area.

The two suspects were found roughly an hour later at a residence on Walnut Trace and arrested.

“They also located the weapon, which was a handgun replica,” Booth said.

Both boys, who were not identified by the Sheriff’s Office, were transported to the Gainesville Regional Youth Detention Center.

They were charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault.

The case is still under investigation.
