Hall County Fire Services tackled a trio of fires Monday night into Tuesday morning, one of which involved a lightning strike and another believed to be intentionally set, officials say.

The first incident was a small fire in the attic at a residence in the 2700 block of Jack Bryant Circle off of Gillsville Highway/Ga. 323. Division Chief Zach Brackett said a lightning strike “extended to a residence.”

The next incident was after 1 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, at an outdoor shed in the 4700 block of Cool Springs Road. Brackett said the shed was fully involved in flames when firefighters arrived.

Firefighters responded to the last fire around 2:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of Marlow Drive, where first responders encountered a 1,200-square-foot home with heavy fire, Brackett said.

The fire marshal’s office determined the Marlow Drive fire to be intentionally set.

Anyone with information is asked to call the fire marshal’s office at 770-718-5702. Georgia Arson Control is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

No injuries were reported, and the causes of the two other fires are under investigation by the fire marshal’s office.
