The Hall County Sheriff's Office said a man intentionally crashed his car into the Hall County Jail on Thursday morning.

A Lula man is accused of intentionally driving his car Thursday morning into the Hall County Jail’s wall, according to authorities.

Before 8 a.m. Thursday, a 1999 Nissan Maxima crashed into the jail wall. Hall County Sheriff’s Office deputies took driver Jason Wynn Turner III, 32, into custody.

“Mr. Turner sustained injuries to his lower extremities in the crash and was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment,” Deputy Stephen Wilbanks wrote in a news release.

No other injuries were reported.

Wilbanks said Turner was charged Thursday afternoon with interference with government property, first-degree criminal damage, reckless conduct and wearing a mask to conceal identity.

“He had a bandana over the lower part of his face when he pulled up,” Wilbanks said.

Wilbanks said investigators are still trying to figure out motive for driving into the jail.

Turner was booked in to the Hall County Jail.
