An armed robbery suspect Saturday pulled out a gun and demanded cash from the Dollar General clerk on Atlanta Highway, according to authorities.

Hall County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded after 4 p.m. Saturday to the Dollar General in Flowery Branch, where the male suspect took an undetermined amount of currency.

“The male ordered employees and customers to the rear of the business and fled,” Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Deputy Nicole Bailes wrote in an email.

The suspect was described as a white male believed to be in his 20s with red hair and a tall, slender physique. He was seen wearing a black sweatshirt and black shorts.

“The suspect was also wearing a beach type hat, which he discarded when he exited the business,” Bailes wrote.

No one was injured, and it is unknown how the suspect fled the scene, Bailes wrote.

Saturday’s robbery is the third armed robbery in four months at Hall County Dollar General stores.
