A two-vehicle accident on Ga. 53 Wednesday evening sent two people to the hospital and clogged traffic on the highway.

The wreck occurred at the highway’s intersection with Sardis Road in North Hall. The wreck closed down the highway for less than an hour.

Little information about the cause of the wreck was available Wednesday night. However, two people were transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening.

The wreck currently is under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol.
