A $4,000 reward for information about a missing trailer and equipment is now up to $7,000 after four North Georgia cleaning companies contributed to the fund.

The trailer was stolen some time between Thursday night and Friday morning from Biotrauma Inc., a local company that specializes in the cleanup of homicides and other deaths, according to Brooke Cherrybone, internal operations director for the company.

Competitors of Biotrauma - GeorgiaClean.com, Nivek Catastrophe Specialists, Metro-Bio Recovery of Johns Creek and Southern Bio-Recovery of Cobb County - contributed $1,000 each to the reward. GeorgiaClean.com also offered Biotrauma access to its warehouses until they are able to recover or replace the stolen equipment.

Some of the $20,000 in equipment stolen with the white 7-by-14-foot trailer include a pressure washer, ozone generators, an Ultra Low Volume fogger and several power and hand tools. The company was able to provide police with the serial numbers to both the trailer and the pressure washer.

Kevin Holbrook, public information officer for the Gainesville Police Department, said the case is still under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the department at 770-534-5252.
